Kelsey appears to be busy

Let me explain, my party memebers are: me, male barbarian, Nalia (romance including), Aerie, Jaheira, Viconia and Kelsey. I did some Nalia related quests, sometime after Trademeet I guess, I get back to the Promenade and some guys catch Kelsey to ask him to go back to some girl, there is some kind of pause, a messenger comes up and talk to Nalia to go to the graveyard because her father’s funeral, then the dialog continues with Kelsey where these guys ask me to give him away, I pay them to not to do so, they go away, walked a few steps (all this in this “hudless” window where you can do nothing) and then the dialog with Kelsey start all over, and again and again; so Alt+F4 was the only way to get out of this; I reloaded the game from the auto save, so trying to avoid another conflict I went to Nalia’s, sleep, make some time, so I get the funeral “invitation”, it happened, so when I get to the city, Kelsey got his little quest, since them, Kelsey is about to say something but he doesn’t, what happens is that he walks 1 step and stops, if I try to talk to him, he appears to be busy. I reloaded the game but again is the same, is this some kind a bug? I rested, waited 2 days but he doesn’t talk to me, is annoying because I can’t pick anything without pausing the game because when you try to loot you see for a second the loot but then the game tries to put itself in dialog mode, closing the little loot window. I am sorry if I couldn’t explain myself clearly but my english is a little short of vocabulary, I hope you will understand.

Hmmm. Arnel's Nalia romance is not the most stable platform to install other mods on, but this shouldn't happen regardless.

Are you running Kelsey-SOA 1.5?

Thank you guys, the thing is that I downloades a small Kelsey file (without music, I guess) and is 1.05, and yes, I have the patch for BG2 ToB.
Anyway, thank you, I guess I have to play separate ways between Nalia and Kelsey.
Sorry, I don't have a saved game anymore from that part.

I'm sorry to ask what may be a commonly know item, but who is Kelsey? Is this your term for Keldorn? Or is there a patch out there that adds a character named Kelsey to your list of Joinable NPCs? If so, since I'm too dim to install patches, could someone give me this mystery person's stats so I can see if it's worth the time getting my friend Ray to come over and install the patch or mod?

Kelsey has thousands of lines of dialogue, a romance track for female PCs, original voicing, etc.

 

Yes Kelsey is a joinable NPC that you can recruit if you install the appropriate mod. It is fairly easy to install. Kelsey is a male sorcerer. I don't remember his exact stats but they are nothing to write home about, but then again a sorcerer really doesn't need high stats.

 

Right. My design goals were basically to have him in bonus territory for DEX and CON and to make sure he could carry a decent amount of gear. INT and WIS are on the high side of average, CHA is above average... I think I wrote in a FAQ somewhere "You'd buy a used car from him, not start a cult in his name."
