In the final battle, against Sarevok and his minions (Tazok, Angelo and Samej?) did everyone jsut run in and hack everything to pieces or what?

The first time, with my exceedingly bad party, I only used Xan and my Character. Charmed Samej, used him to kill Tazok and Angelo, and then used Wand of Monster Summoning to defeat Sarevok. The second time i just ran in and hacked them all to bits. Ditto the third.

[IMG] I just slayed him the easy way.
First make his minions follow you, and slaughter them one at a time...
Then fire arrow of dispelling at the Big Baddy, and then get Jahiera and Xan to finish him with thier quarterstaff and Moonblade... :D

[IMG] I defeated Sarevok by attacking them with cloud kill which killed his cronies, and then simply sending my fighters right at him, while my character a level 10 mage shot huge amounts of magic missiles at him! Hah!

I just hasted my guys and just kept shooting arrows at him. Any time he got close enough to one of my guys, I'd move him/her out of the way.

Kinda cheap but I didn't take any damage in the battle.

    Cheers

[IMG] I lured the mage out and clubbed him like a baby seal, then took out the other two buddies he had while a load of summoned mosters "bravely delayed him until I could be bothered", the proceded to clu him like a baby seal with two fighters while the rest of the party used bows and slings with magic ammo until he was dead. No character actualy even got hit because he was too interested in killing the summoned monsters. :)

[IMG] Summoned monsters are the best against Sarevok, because he always goes for them. Then I just cast haste on my fighters, some of the summoned monsters get hasted too, and proceed to pound Sarevok.

My first time through the game with my Elven Fighter it was extremly easy. Somehow I managed to lure him off without alerting his cronies! With my non-hasted characters, all with missle weapons and magical ammuntion shot him dead before he even came close to us! Must have been those arrows of piercing. Another time I went through the game with a Human Fighter it was very hard. Samaj came down by himself with no back up so he was easy. Tazok went after Xan and killed him in a few hits, so I was mageless. Angelo was killed by having the whole party chuck firebombs at him. Sarevok went down by having the party shoot and run.

Summoned monsters... damn, shoulda thought of tht back then... just hasted everyone and gave out various potions of heroism, perception, etc. My thief was invisible and disarmed all the traps that could be. I lured Tazok and Semaj in then whacked em both. But then Sarevok came in and I was forced to cut him down with... arrows of ice hehe. Angelo was the only one I wasn't able to get.

It' sindeed a pity that th egame ends with Sarevoks death, I wanna kill all his friends too.... Monster-summoning is the solution . I go sneak a bit with my thiefs and hope I can kill them that way, and then deal with Sarevok in the end.

unlikely if backstab's all you've got :/ they aren't all totally isolated so chances are when you hit one, another will notice and it's gonna turn into a general melee free for all
