LAG on 100 mbit LAN

    [​IMG] I have BG1 with TotSC... all patches installed

    no matter who creates the game it lags
    no matter what protocol i use (IPX, TCP/IP) it lags

    for example... i stand in left bottom screen and see monster on right upper screen and he is hitting me...
    or
    players dissapear and appear when walking around.....

    we have LAN through DLINK Router

    Here are computer configurations:
    My computer:
    AMD 2400+
    ABIT NF7S 1.1
    ONBOARD 10/100 NETWORK CARD
    ATI RADEON 9500
    1GB 333 RAM
    WIN XP SP1
    DIRECT X 9.0b

    Brother's computer:
    AMD 2000+
    Some motherboard with VIA chipset
    REALTEK 10/100 NETWORK CARD
    GF2 MX400
    512MB 333 RAM
    WIN XP SP1
    DIRECT X 9.0b

    We played BG1 on 10 MBIT LAN (BNC) 2 years ago and it worked without any problems and even on slower computers....

    any ideas?

    I blame WinXP for the problems. Everything else in both machines looks great, but the engine has some trouble with that OS.
