Laiwethel's Gloves

I have just bought Laiwethels gloves of arcane skill, or at least thats what I think they are called. It says in the description that it is supposed to decrease casting time by 1, but instead it seems to extend tha casting time by 1 which is really annoying. Is there anyway to change this? Is it a known bug that has been fixed in a later version of the BoM items pack?

 

I have the old version, but my gloves work just fine. (and they are cool) Maybe it is a bug in the new version? Contact Olimikrig via PM, if you like.

 

O.K., Oli hasn't answered a PM I sent him ~2 weeks ago, so he must be offline for some reason at the moment. I'll look into the problem; I did most of the item testing & bug-zapping anyway, so it'll be no problem. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, and I'll try to have something sorted this evening (BST) as I've got work this afternoon.

 

Your a legend mate. I had a bit more of a look at the item description and it says spell casting time decreased by one whereas the robes of vecna say spell casting time increased by four. I am assuming that this is the problem.

 

O.K., I can confirm that the gloves weren't correctly flagged, and were decreasing casting speed, rather than decreasing casting time. I'll have the new version to olimikrig shortly, who's preparing to release another version of the BoM Item Pack. He might be a while, though, as he's basically only got parts of his weekends free atm. If you can't wait, just let me know your e-mail address via PM and I'll send the .itm file directly to you, and you can pop it in your override folder.

(Question to Moderators: shouldn't this be in the ToB forum? All the other BoM IP threads are, so it'd be handy for people searching for bug info & whatnot. TIA.)

Also, bird-boy, last time I played the BoM mod, I couldn't use my own dumb dagger (the Blade of The Order of The Scorpion), and I was an elven assassin. WTF?

Adding on to the theme but a different item, (item{s}?)

The Kensai sword is not useable by my half-orc Kensai.

The Star Blade is not useable by my lawful good Kensai.

The restrictions listed on both weapons seems to make them specific to be used for my character, but they are red to me.

I've fixed Mollusken's Bone Basher, and it should now correctly be usable by your Half-Orc kensai. I'll look into the Star Blade etc tomorrow when I have the day off...

EDIT: Starblade is fixed as well.. I ahve somehow accidently flagged it as only being usable by ...Good Elf's ...

New one, Mageblade of Laiwethel is not useable by Imoen. It says, "Not useable by - none" so I'm assuming that it needs a fix. It might also just be my game though.

 

No I'm talking about sending you updated .itm files to go into your override folder.

Imoen can't use the Mageblade because it requires 10 str
