Has there been any mod to make the spell worth using at higher levels? I loved it in BG during the lower levels but then it just becomes useless with all the other spells to use instead. It's only 4 HPs per pop. I'd still use it if it got better some how. Even a simple +1 hp/level would be great.
Any mod(s) been made to help this spell?

If you could heal for ~1/hp level N times a day, it would render healing spells/items for arcane casters moot. Spells in a Vancian spellcasting system are balanced around their spell level, not around the spellcaster's level, which is important in the grand scope of things, although it doesn't really do much to stem the absurd power scaling of spellcasters.

It is still useful. As a on-hit effect on the Foebane +5.

It wouldn't make healing spells moot I don't think. It would just be another one that you have to memorize anyway not replacing them.
Maybe not LMD but an ability like the monk has that would heal so many per day? Only once per day of course.

Doesn't change the fact that LMD would suddenly become the best healing spell you can get short of heal and it deals the same amount of damage as well.

Like I said, spells are balanced for their spell level. You're not supposed to get as much mileage of them at higher levels, that's what you have higher-level spells for.

Granted, some spell effects are universally good, regardless of level, and those are usually the ones that take up most of the slots as you level up, but even those are often replaced later on.
