    A character with 3 attacks / round with a weapon that that speed factor ... say 2, can attack three times per round?

    If the game says 3 attacks per round, you are doing 3 attacks per round with the weapon you are currently using.

    if your speedfactor is lower than your opponents, you get to attack first

    I never liked speed factor. I much prefer the way initiative is done in third edition. I understand what they were trying to do, but I prefer simplicity. I have enough trouble in combat as it is;)
