I'm in the 4th level of the temple and there's this lightning trap in the main hallway. There's a box on either side of it and when I open it one of the options is to speak to the light coming from the box, but it doesn't do anything. My sorcerer is lying dead in the middle of the trap and I have no way to revive him cause I can't disarm it. I have the co8 mod, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. How do I disarm it?

Absolutely, the glorious Liv added that little surprise.

Have your rogue look at the box. If they have the skill to deal with it, there will be an option to do so. Or look around for the password. I'm not sure where it is myself, but it IS there somewhere, and if you have it you will get the option to use it.

    God bless Liv!!

I love the difficulty! I am at the exact same spot, with the same problem-- apparently a rogue with a +12 on Disable Device is NOT good enough, so I have come up with an alternative--

Beef up everyone with resistances, stoneskins, and even Aid spells (heck you can even Vampiric Touch a tough fighter to give your wimpy sorcerer even more HPs) and RUN LIKE MERCURY through it.

:) It isn't very far to a safe area--then heal up.

Well, my sorcer is already dead and I accidentally quick-saved, and my Roque can't disarm it. So someone just tell me where to get the password...pleeeeease.

Yeah and when you tell him, tell me too!

    Thanks from both of us!

The loss of a sorcerer, is of course a problem.

Do you have a bard? Get him to use 'Inspire Competence'. Gloves of Dex? Give them to the Rogue. Someone who can cast 'cats grace'? Masterwork theives tools? There are various ways to buff the rogue (not all might work here since it is a dialogue, not a use of 'disarm trap').
