Lineup suggestions for Tactics?

    Just downloaded Tactics,Ascension,Valen,Solaufein and Kelsey modules and am looking forward to three runthroughs with a Good,Evil and Neutral party. I have set the game to normal difficulty and have uninstalled Ishan's deadly random encounters to help my survival a bit. I would like some feedback on possible group combos.
    Also I am experiencing some minor bugs ; There are NO TRAPS ... anywhere and incorrect dialogue boxes appear (like a merchant giving me an irenicus speech) and occasionally commoners in the middle of a battle! Is there a patch?

    Do you have the Ease of Use mod installed? There's a component in that mod (optional) which disables all traps in the game.

    Your gme is pretty screwed if incorrect dialogues appear, and the only solution is to re-install all of your mods. I guess that you do not have a backup folder for re-doing a clean instal (shame on you :nono: )? The problem is most likely that you installed Ascensions before installing the NPCs. Iirc the correct install order for the mods you've mentioned would be (don't hold me on this):

    Tactics
    NPC's (Valen, solau, Kelsey)
    Ascension

    Notes conserning clean installs (backup directories):


    -- Prior to installing ANY mod, you should make a BACKUP folder, and within
    it you should place a copy of:

    Override folder
    BgMain.exe
    Chitin.Key
    Dialog.tlk
    Baldur.ini

    -- If you ever want to erase all mods, and re-make your clean install,
    then manually delete:

    Override folder
    WeiDU.log

    -- and COPY

    Override folder
    BgMain.exe
    Chitin.Key
    Dialog.tlk
    Baldur.ini

    from your BACKUP folder into your main directory.
