I'm considering playing a character who will start as some Fighter kit (either Berserker or Wizard Slayer) and dual-class to Thief. To have an easier time at this, I'm looking for quests that can be tackled early on without the use of a Thief.

    TIA

    hmmm... let's think...

    The circus
    Hendak in the Copper Coronet
    Lilacor (walk around the traps)
You can complete the Slaver's Quest if you use the sewer entry, but can't clear the area.
Most of the Graveyard and Government districts can be done except for some looting.
    The Fallen Paladins
The Temple Sewers has no traps or locks.
Bring the poisoned man to the docks
You can expose the tanner for a good chunk of XP without going through the second booby-trapped screen.
The buried live guy (maybe leave a chest locked..)
You can probably get Edwin and kill Maevar if you leave all the loot.

And of course you can get all the NPC mages to scribe scrolls ;)

Umar Hills, Temple Ruins. There's no locked doors or traps blocking your way that would require a thief. Unless the one room north of the lava with the pillar and the undead had something that you need in order to proceed, but not that I'd recall. You'd have to leave some of the loot behind, but you can always collect them later.

That traps in Temple Ruins are not very deadly. I myself finished Temple Ruins quest without a thief:My PC as a willy conjurer, reliable Jaheira, cool Yasraena, sweetheart Nathaniel, snob Anomen, and newly rescued Mazzy. (I also had IA mod, you MUST see Improved Shadow Dragon by this mod:the most scary dragon I have ever beheld!....end of the advertisement :shake: )

There were a few lightning bolt&flame strike traps in containers, but nothing very lethal unless you are low on HP and/or resistances.
