[IMG] If your rep. drops below 6 or 7(or something like it) your character becomes a fallen paladin. Same for (fallen)ranger. That way you also loose your classspecific abilities, and, it hurts me to say, there´s no way to get them back.....

Without giving too much of a spoiler, I guess you've just had a nasty expereince with a mage in a dungeon for the mentaly unwell. If so, you've lost your abilities because of (little spoiler if you haven't got there yet) the experiement he did on you. When he rips away your sole it also takes away your special abailities. Don't worry too much though, at this stage of the game you don't really need them any more and..... no better not, another spoiler.

Although saying that I don't think you should lose class specific abilities, just the extra one you get for being the son of Bhal

i know that that happens, but i have not gotten that far in the game i am in. This sounds more and more like a bug to me.

It's easy to fix that problem. You build a shrine to BI, and place in it all the IE games then dance around it chanting for special abilities. That allways fixes my problems.

    posible spoiler

Slappy - When that nasty little mage 'experiments' on you, you don't loose class specific special abilities such as charm animal or detect evil. You only loose the ones that have to do with your Bhaal heritage i.e. the ones which you got in BG at the start of a new chapter.

I imagine this is a bug, and I suggest either downloading the patch (If you don't have it), trying a previous save or using shadow keeper to restore the lost abilities)

It is a bug. I've lost countless of stats, weapon proficiences and abilities. Just use shadow keeper to bring it back.

Wildfire thanks for clearing that up - I thought I had explained that but I was being a little vague - thanks.

Jack-of-all-trades you might want to take a quick look here to see if there are any other hints that might be useful (it sounds like a simliar sort of bug). It also tells you how to fix it with Shadowkeeper (if you need help).

    Good luck with fixing it.
