No, just for three days. When that time is up, go look for him at the Order of the Most Radiant Heart.

IIRC, it depends on what you say to him. You can either release him entirely, allow him to spend some time with his family and rejoin you at a later date (three days as Fel says), or tell him you need him and not release him at all.

If you release him entirely, you cannot get him back (which is the humane thing to do).

Yeah, there are three choives, as stated. Althought it would be the most humane to allow the old paladin lay down his weapon and tend his family, I selected to allow him spent some time away, but still needed him.

I agree that letting him go for a " undecided time" is the most humane choice but I like him so I usually just let him go for three days.

Oh my god!!! I had released him entirely, overwritten the save accidentally, but still want to use him, and having many important items in his inventory!!!

I keep him. Screw Maria. She's got Little Lord Whatshisname to keep her happy and his daughters don't want him around either.

If you let him go, he's gone for good. The only way I can think to get him back (since you don't have a save) is to recreate him via CLUAconsole.

I think you would need to change a global parameter involving him. If you just CLUAConsole him you may not get back any of the items.

I dunno if I want to use CLUAconsole to get him back, sounds like a cheat to me :(

What is the command and how to do it, tho? :p

    Of course it's a cheat.

If you don't want to cheat, then live without Keldorn and the items.

Well, I'd say it's only a cheat if you didn't really intend for him to leave forever in the first place. In "real life", you could go knock on his door, and say, "Um, hi Keldorn...yeah, this is REALLY awkward, but...I kinda didn't mean that I'd NEVER need you again. I was just looking to give you a little 'alone time' with the family and all, and then figured we could get back to looking for my little sis..."

To which Keldorn would no doubt reply, "Dude! Could you give me FIVE MINUTES??? I'm kind of in the middle of something! Do you know how LONG it's been since I've gotten any?"

In other words, I'd change the global and save yourself the embarrassment. Unfortunately, I don't know what it is, sorry. :(

The release when you're talking to William Reirac is not permanent. Visit Keldorn in his home and talk to him once again. Do NOT select "go with my blessing"; that is the last release and you won't see him again. The other two choices will give him a day with his family (after which he will be free to join you) and recruit him immediately (though the dialogue choice - "I'll release you ASAP" - doesn't look like it).

If he is permanently gone, there's no way to get your items back. Changing globals won't change where he is, and there's no way to 'select' him to give him orders to reappear if he's gone AFAIK.

Assuming Felinoid is right here, then you've basically lost him for good, no matter what you do.

To get the items, write down which ones you remember that he had, do a quick search for their item codes and use the CLUA console to create them in your game.
