I agree..... Maybe, that the novel is allowed says that there is enough evidence against Ben Ladin.... can't say more about it....

the first is a story of herorism and the journalist does not try to hide this at all. What to say? One thing I noted was

The story of the mid-air battle unfolded after sales executive Todd called a mobile phone operator and asked her to pass on his love to his family. His now famous last words, heard over the open mobile line, were: “Are you guys ready? Let’s roll.”

Is this true? I heard the phone call reapeted many times on CNN. All I heard was him saying the pass on your love phrase. Guess I am going both senile and deaf or the phonecall may have been chaged. I think its the first. :)

The second part. uhhh Shralp? And you wouldn't think this happended in Hollywood, america? I thought you knew better. But of course you should be angry. How can some people make a movie out of this. How can someone make money of it? die liberalism! Welcome to Hollywood Shralp.

With this said my prayers still go to all those who suffered and those who will suffer from this tradegy. But hiding it far away won't make the pain go away. Talking and discussing this tragic event and perhaps seeing it as a movie may help us calm and clear our minds.

I agree with Nobleman, however, not every movie is mdae just to make big money. Some movies are educative... the intention is to let you think about what happened, and that you remind what happened, just like some WW2 movies. Not every book or movie is pure action, to enjoy people..... So I first will see what exactl is. However there must be evidence if they wanna have Ben Ladin as the guy behin dthe attacks, for what if he didn't do it? Then he is really pissed off now :)

There were two cell phone calls made from the flight. The one you heard was from Jeremy Glick, who also charged the cockpit. He called his wife and then left his cell phone on.

Breamer, the one covered in the story, was the one who said "let's roll." We're taking it as an unofficial motto around here.

Those guys had huge cajones and are proof that America is not a land of lazy fatasses too timid and cowardly to be effective, which is a stereotype I'm pretty sick of. (Not that anyone here is claiming otherwise.)

Hollywood, by the way, is a bunch of pricks. I suppose there's a possibility that they'll make something that will actually inspire viewers. But my money is on a bunch of watered-down crap.

Thanks Shralp I love you. I was really getting frustrated with my memory :)

And about Hollywood. I agree too. They can't make anything that isn't repulsive when it comes to tragic events. Outside hollywood it might have been done with style. But I still think it can be an experience that can help clear the mind or at least the aftermath debate can.

EDITED HERE: I think your first story reflects a journalist who could easily work for Hollywood. Thats why I didn't like it. But of course the story IS an act of true heroism, its just told in a  way.

Well, the timing is rotten. But any novel written by Andy McNab is bound to make a phenomenal movie. This guy is a *real* soldier, knows his stuff and has earned his stripes. I can understand the outrage at Hollywood for going forward at this particular time, but I can't fault their judgement on buying the movie rights to a McNab book. They should have made one from Bravo Two Zero.

[IMG] Truly inspiring Shralp. Just goes to show that the greatness of America isn't in its military, its financial capability, or even its cultural influence throughout the world. Its the heart and soul of the American people. Those hearts are truly "the home of the brave". Next Sunday, when I go to church, I'll say a small prayer for Todd's family, and to all those selfless people in that flight and the ones they left behind. :)
