    [IMG] hi,

I've created a fighter just to solo and I gave him high intelligence (for upcoming combats with mind flayers) at the cost of wisdom which thus is very low (4), but I dont recall what are all the implications of having such a low score in this field, does it concern resist to magic or something ....? your help would be much appreciated

I know it affects Lore. But you're a fighter and you don't need to worry about that.

Also, don't expect to dual class to druid or cleric.

Supposedly, having a wisdom of 15 or higher gives you a bonus to saving throws but I'm not sure it's actually implemented. It is in the manual of both Baldur's Gate games though.

You can actually download the manual here at Sorcerer's Place. Maybe you should give it a look.

Wisdom doesn't affect saving throws. Any non-priest class works well with minimal wisdom. There are no mind flayers in BG, so int is just as useless as wis.

yes, but eventually i'll be importing my char in BG2, so a high INT is required

anyway, it's good to know low WIS doesn't affect saving throws, thx :)

WIS doesn't help with saving throws (unfortunately).

Doesn't WIS opens up a few dialogue options in BG2 and help with the Wish Spell (probably not that useful for a Fighter anyway)?

A character with a low WIS could be RPed as an impulsive, reckless character who would be almost oblivious to his or her environment. That should be a lot of fun to play. ;)

Basically don't try a wish or limited wish in BG2/TOB with anything under a 17 WIS.
