Wouldnt it be great if mages could write their own scrolls...i would have thought mage that has reaches a reasonably high level would be able to write a scroll and then perhaps keep it to be used in a battle later on. Maybe it could be in the form of a spell like the one where you get to create an enchanted +3 weapon for a day. An intersting idea to play around with perhaps, not too impossible considering that if you have a mage stronghold your apprentices can make you one. What do you guys think.
Of course there would be parameters...for example maybe creating only one scroll per day..and of course thay cant be sold just like you cant sell the enchanted weapons. What does everyone think?

[IMG] I'm not sure because I didn't tested yet, but I think you can get scrolls from a Mage Stronghold. Else, in P&P rules, you can write your scrolls, after reaching the 9th level, but it costs a LOT : gold (for paper, ink,...) and time. I don't remember exactly how much time it costs but at least 1 hour for 1 level, maybe more... Well, I can imagine a party waiting his Mage to get free scrolls :).

[IMG] yeah, this would be really nice but not as revolutionary as it seems, since in p&p-D&D a mage surely can write scrolls, from the 9th level on...great!
