I play it. Especially now that I've found more players to join my MtG club.

[IMG] I consider myself a veteran. I don't play it too often anymore, and my newest cards are from the Exodus set. However, I'm still interested. It's just it's so dang expensive for a few pieces of cardboard. What kind of club do you have?

I'm like Farthy, it's just too expensive to keep up. But I'd play the game online. I think there is something like that already. If it is decent enough I might try it.

One of my friends is really into magic, and I sometimes play it with him. I don't have any cards of my own though, since i always use his.

[IMG] Hmm played it for about 3 years (97-2000) but stopped because the club i regularly played in ended. I made a lot of money from selling and i ended up in profit from the cards while still having 3 good decks and a total of 900+ cards. Haven't played in 2 years tho and i've been trying to sell the cards (when i needed to get some money) but since i dont have the club or no anyone else who likes them it's not really possible.

Let's see, I started playing Magic back in 1995 when I was a freshman in high school. I stopped out of high school. It just got too expensive when they released a new expansion every three months. Besides, the group of friends I run with now are all too busy playing D and D and I think that game is far better. Though, there are days when I wished I hadn't sold all 3000 of my cards... ah well. Good luck with the club though.

[IMG] Try e-bay for selling the cards. I need to check a price-guide and see how much some of my rare cards are worth.

The majority of my cards are from the Urza era.

I've played the game on PC, but haven't played with actual cards before. I don't play it anymore though because it was for Win95 and it crashes too often now.

I've played for the past four years, and can't wait until next week! I've got so much money to blow, but nothing to spend it on!

[IMG] I started playing around when Fallen Empires came out. They were only 75 cents a pack.

I've played since '94, though I didn't really start to collect tournament-wise until '97 with Tempest. When that set came out, I don't know, something just said- "Wow. This is awesome." It was expensive, as I was only 13~14 at the time, but I nickle and dimed my way to a Tempest box, and had a great time playing with my friends.

I still play, though mostly in draft tournaments or Extended, so that I can be as creative as possible in combining my older cards and the new bombs that come out. I think the game still has quite a healthy life to it, it just is having problems getting people to pay the prices- hence my cutting back to mostly draft.

[IMG] Although I think it's a great game, I really think it's lost its touch. It's too focused on a small storyline based on a few (Urza, Gerrard, etc.) I loved the old days with Fourth Edition, Ice Age, Mirage, and yes those 75 cent Fallen Empires boosters. The flavor text for cards at that time was actually written by famous real people (Plato, the Bible, etc.). Now we have the wisdom of Squee printed on everything. I liked the broad scope of Dominaria more than the focused character-based RPG like cards. It just reminded me too much of playing computer games like Baldur's Gate, and I want to use a computer to do that.

    My club?

It's nothing but a normal club; anyone can join for a small amount of money per year with which we buy rewards for the tournaments that are set 4 times / year every 3 months. We practice 3 or 4 times a week and that's about all there is.
