Unfortunayely, there are only 4 or 5 masterwork items you can find in the game. Nothing exciting like pole arms or spiked chains. I would suggest downloading the Circle of Eight mod/repair for this game. It adds to the smith's available items for sale every weapon and armor in masterwork quality, so you can ACTUALLY use the craft item, weapon, armor feats to your advantage.
I don't even concider this mod as cheese, the game programers probably would have put this in the game if they had been giving the time to complete it before it was rushed to market.
This mod gives you the ability to fully develop your character. If you want that barbarian to have a flaming guisarme for battle, then get your wizard to make him one!!

Heh- heh, wait to you get to the BROTHEL then....

Oh and Liv's "enhancements" have made the game (rightly) more challenging.

I just got this game and am playing through it for the first time in vanilla mode. I might try the Co8 mod for a 2nd run through.

    Anyway ... (minor spoilers....)

...I have found two barrels on the 1st (?) floor of the Temple that contain several master work weapons, including a guisarme, a maul, a ranseur (sp?) and something else. Also a two masterwork spears. I am using Moebius' unofficial patch. Maybe he added those but I doubt it...
