Is there any way to gain max hp per level besides adjusting the difficulty slider? I´m thinking about an added file in the override directory or such...

Well, you can always turn down the difficulty for a moment ;)

I don't know of a special file, the difficulty slider is straightforward, there's no shame!
    I often use it!
The trick is to start the game in 'core' difficulty so your PC won't have ridiculously high HP (like 90 with 12 Con...), and then level up in 'normal' mode for such NPCs as Aerie or Jaheira, but in 'core' when you can afford to lose some HP: 10 instead of 14, something like that.
The good thing is that after 2 or so level-ups, it's OK, there's no more rolls to do.

@Yulaw9460: G3 Tweaks has a component that maximizes HP rolls, regardless of difficulty. Due to hardcoded issues, barbarians are the one class this does not affect.

I think I´ll use the slider, I´m not really interested in anything else besides max hp´s.... But there is a file for max hp rolls at level up´s for BG 1 that you just put in the override folder. I just figured someone perhaps knew of another file for BG II...

    Thanks anyway...
