Before you ask: No, I have no life.

I was messing around with Elminster's stats page and thought it'd be interesting to see who uses the longest words in chat. I just did the top ten so no one would be hurt 'cause they were dead last (ArtEChoke).

    1 Capstone 4.555411416
    2 Shralp 4.545083074
    3 Tiamat 4.540837267
    4 Extremist 4.510635106
    5 Skedaddle 4.442615069
    6 Xenecor 4.435858218
    7 Blackthor 4.393227513
    8 Satiana_F 4.359144954
    9 Azardu 4.356020886
    10 Zaragoth 4.348953348

I bow unto Capstone, the Noah Webster of SP.

    lol, :)

Wildfire and Lokken are not in the list... that doesn't suprise me at all.. they only say Heh, Lol etc. People that use smileys don't have a chance to get high on this list...

    :p

Dangnation! I discover a distinct absence of any identifier pertaining to myself. It compells me to expand my diminutive vocabulary, and attempt written communication in the manner of Kiser Jelai (that mercantile gentleman from the ultimate installment in the Baldur's Gate series). Possibly a most words per line compilation would not go amiss.

Don't give up hope, Ironbeard. I only checked the top 50 'cause that's all Elminster cares about. :1eye:

(And he calculates words per public already. Clubmonkee leads with over 14 per line.)

Channel ops, beware of people whotypelikethis.

It makes us wonder. Who writes to be understood and who writes to sounds wise. :p

One thing is sure. There is 0,2 difference from number one to ten. Hence two letters in ten words. not alot is it? :) It doesn't take much to figure out who "lol" smile or heh the least.

above are roughly 60 words. If I cut away the smilies and wrote sixty instead of 60, I would have jumped a whopping 0.2 letters per word up. woohoo.

Anyway I wonder if Elminster registeres smiles as words. And great work Shralp. It is nice with some inspiration from time to time.

Shralp, I'm interested to know my average letters per word.
Could be useful to know :p

May I also be privilaged to become aware of my average letters per word? I wonder if you forsaw my 'demand'?

Generating sentences using words of substancial length is rather taxing on the mind and inner-conciousness no? Its similar to performing on mock examinations ... simply, it hurts ;)

Talking long words means talking less words overall. As you can see, there is only 1 in this top 10, that is also in the top10 of how many words there are typed. That one is Extremist (spot 7?) Respect to Extremist... who talks long words... and still is high in the real top10.

Shralp, I suppose I was number last in this list? 4,24... even ArtEChoke had higher.... :) Wildfire 3,8... :)

Herf and others, when you also wanna know your average amount of characters per word, go to the chat. When Elminster is there, type !stat Elminster then shows the amount letters and the amount of words. take the amount of letters and devide is by the amount of words....

S if i divide my letters by my words it should come out as ...

    356635/85321 = 4.17992053538988056867594144466192

    Whereabouts is that then?

/me awaits eagerly the answer of his positioning ...
