Minsc and Hide in Shadows

    [​IMG] I notice that Minsc in his character "tool bar" has hide in shadows, but it is grayed out. Is he able to hide in shadows like a thief? When does he gain this ability? Does he have to remove his armour in order to do so?
    Thanks for any tips (no spoilers please, but a gentle nudge in the right direction would be appreciated).

    he be a ranger, therefore can only stealth himself with leather/studded leather armor
