Well, pretty much since I picked him up at second level way back in Nashkel, Minsc has been using two handed weapons and bows. Now, quite honestly, I'm ready for a change. I'm going to try to make him into a dual wielding machine. My only questions are: a)should I bother and just have him use Grahm Sword of Grief or Psion Blade and b)if I do dual wield with him, which weapons should I choose. I am already comitted to using Axe of the Unyielding, as it looks just awsome. What other weapon would you recomend me using along with that. By the way, the Answerer is reserved for my Kensai/Mage to duel with Celestial Fury, and I think my fighter will keep using Foebane. Right now, the better choices look to be Short Sword of the Mask (upgraded) or Rune Hammer (upgraded). I would have him use the Flail of Ages (double upgraded) but I don't have it.

  2. I have Minsc using fully upgraded flail of ages and runehammer, but since you don't have the flail of ages yet I'd go with Axe of the unyielding and Runehammer...

My little Bhaal spawn uses Axe of the unyielding and it's really cool so stay with that one

Rune Hammer is great for Minsc. Any weapon dedicated to obliterating evil is a friend of Minsc's. Yet Minsc has a wild side so Axe of the Unyielding fits him well too. So definately go for those two, they are great for Misnc, whereas giving Minsc Gram Sword of Grief doesn't really match Minsc. That seems to fit a character like Sarevok more ;)

I'm personally leaning toward that combo myself lately. I'm just interested in how good that upgrades short sword of the mask is. It has a 15% chance level drain and %15 chance entangle for 24 sec. Is it worth taking over Runhammer, which of course is awsome against undead, and of course against his only racial enemy, vampires. Decisions, decisions...

Edit: Man, I've been playing with Minsc Duelwielding Axe of the Unyielding +5 and the mace upgraded with starfall ore, and I wish I had been using him as a duelwielder all along. Two handed swords, bows, and halabreds...bah I say. Minsc is a much improved fighter dueling with those two weapons. Now all I need to do is wait to upgrade the Runhammer, and then, watch out evil, hero coming through will really mean something :D
