Minsc's entire inventory gone!

This is not the first time this has happened to me. I am hoping by posting here that by chance a developer of TOB will read it and fix this horrible bug.

I am in the illithid lair in the underdark. The illithid kills minsc with one shot. I kill the bad guys and bring minsc to life... however he did not leave behind his inventory. I cannot find it anywhere.

Now this is a most annoying bug as i had to start all over from the beginning of the lair!

I tried using shadowkeeper to restore his lost inventory, it just caused the game to be extreamly choppy.

I have all the most recent patches so this is not the cause.

Hopefully the disappearing inventory bug will be fixed in the expansion.

maybe it is just under a wall or someplace you cant directly see, I hope you will be able in ToB to highlight all items on the ground

 

sometimes things go missing, once I killed firkraag and the loot didn't show, so I had to reload. Then the scales were missing, but I didn't notice till long time after, so I used shadowkeeper to import them (I know, but hey, what can you do?

Poor (!place) Kit . I had a similar thing with Mazzy in the Mindflayers area. The inventory was actually there but nowhere near the place she died or was resurrected. Just to add to the fun it was hidden in darkest shadow. I refused to give up though as she had some good kit on her. But by the time I found the blummin stuff I had even less hair than normal, had developed RSI in my mouse hand and realised it would have been quicker to go back and play again from my last autosave. Roll on the highlight function in ToB (maybe someone will be inspired to do a similar patch for the earlier games).

Well indeed.... I suppose you got a save from not to long ago.... just reload en do the whole fight again.....

 

I did just that .. however i had to start the mindflayer lair all over again.

Basically a pain in the you know what.

This is after searching the entire area for at least 20 minutes. It was not there!

BTW Slappy, u better type alot! My finger is pretty much back in action

 

i always am fine whatever happens.
I am one of those really annoying people who saves every two and a half seconds
If a bug pops up then for some reason it usually doesn't appear the second time around!

 

Ok, I'm starting to get sick of that bugs whinning. When I did that on Whatnots, I was digged. So...

Bugs you mention here, including some more others mentioned in last week or so never happened to me.

And as mad doctor i need you to tell me this:
1. Have you used that SK util?
2. Have you installed bonusCD (nm the version)?
3. Have you installed any unofficial patch (and not official)?

If your answer on any of these questions is yes, then my diagnose is: stop doing that!

 

#1. no i did not use SK till after the inventory went missing.

#3. No i have only installed the official patch.

Also this is not the first time this has happened with minsc. The first time through i also lost his armor fighting the dragon in shandlessar (sp?)
