Missed the Planar Prison quest- can it be reset?

I'm wrapping up Chapter 6, and am finishing up all the loose ends before taking the lanthorn back to the elves. Just realized that I missed the Haer Dalis/Planar Prison quest. Is there a way I can go back to the theater and reboot that conversation so that I can do that one- without upsetting the game as it stands now?

If it has a high probability of making the game buggy going forward, I'll forget about it- given the current high levels of the characters, this particular quest is not a big deal. On the other hand, I hate leaving work undone. Thanks for any guidance in advance!

[IMG] You should be able to talk to them to get the quest to start again, however if this doesn't work you can remove the entry from your journal, if it annoys you by being there - but only if you are certain you won't do the quest.

Alas, when I declined to join the actors in their trip to the Planar Prison they departed without me, so there is no one left with whom to reinitiate conversation. I am hoping that there might be a shortcut code to reload the encounter as if I had not turned them down the first time.

In that case I do not think there is a way, unless you have an earlier save, but as it is I doubt that would be something you'd want to consider.

You would most likely have to change a fair bit to get the quest to restart, so I would advise to simply leave it until another game.

I had the same thing happen to me in one game. There is something you do, don't do or some response that governs whether you can follow them through the portal. Sorry I don't remember what it is but I'm sure someone else will.

I just ignored it and did it the next play through.

Use shadow keeper to take you to the planar prison, use the net to find the AR code

Sarevok, I don't think that would work very well, considering the global variables are probably not set so as to allow the quest to proceed properly. That could leave him stuck in the planar prison with no way of finishing the quest and returning to Athkatla.

Thanks, all, for the ideas. Sounds like there is a code to force the quest to recycle, but it may make the game hiccough. Given the small xp involved, it's not worth it. I'll move on into ToB and do the Planar Prison on a subsequent playthrough.

    Thanks again!

Wait, there can be a component of one of the weapons Cromwell can smite, i thought it was the Wave shaft, so you better check it out.

[IMG] It would be easier to use the console to get the wave shaft than to edit variables and summon the actors to reset the quest. Jumping areas wouldn't help much, if at all.
