[IMG] Most mods come packaged in either .rar or .zip format so you have to unpack them with something like WinRar into the same directory as you installed BG2.

After that you run the setup programme for the mod (probably called Setup-Saerileth) then follow the instructions on screen.

    [IMG] If you don't have a dialog.tlk your game wouldn't work :p

Means you're either installing it into the wrong directory or your on windows Vista or newer and need to check your compatibility files and may have to copy it over.

If you open the directory in which BG2 is installed, there most certainly should be a file in there called dialog.tlk, because as 8 said, your game literally would not run without it. You need to be certain that the folder into which you're trying to install the mod is the same as your BG2 folder. (Hint: to find this folder, right click on the icon on your desktop and select "Open file location".) As I'm not familiar with the mod's installer, I don't know the exact steps you need to take, but either it will be auto-installing to your primary installation of the game, or you'll be able to choose the directory to install it in. In the first case the only thing you can do is ensure that you've only got a single installation of BG2 on your computer - if you don't know how you'd get more than one, ignore this. In the latter case just direct the installer to the correct BG2 directory.

Also, to avoid problems, you should have BG2 installed in somewhere other than your Program Files folder, e.g. "Documents\Games\BG2 - SoA" or something similar. Avoid Program Files at all cost!

[IMG] I already said what you'd need to do - you'd need to copy your dialog.tlk from the compatibility files folder and put it into the main directory.
