    Hello all !

Have just started out BGII and would like a slightly diffrent experience, therefore I installed a couple of mods. I tried to limit mysself to WeIdu mods as they apparently work well together (?). My question is: Is it necessary to have the "include folder name" when unzipping the mod into the BGII folder, all the installations I made worked out fine and the Dungeon-Be-Gone worked well but the Tashia mod asked me to include the "include folder name".

    The mods I installed were:
    DungeonBe-Gone
    Banter Pack
    NPC flirt
    Item upgrade
    Tashia mod

Do they work well together ?

Would be very glad for any answers !

You absolutely positively must have the "Use Folder Names" option turned on in your dearchiver or the mods won't install properly. Mods that come with a self-extracting installer (typically one .exe file and a README in the archive) don't apply.

It would be my recommendation to apply mods AFTER you have played through the game 'vanilla style' .. maybe just me though :)

[IMG] :), This is my fourth time playing BGII after a long break so I felt that mods were a good idea.

Thanks for the answers ! I must say i´m very impressed with the BG modding community and the BG community in general, no signs of slowing down ! I´m just waiting for a "proper" expansion pack mod.

BTW, which of the NPC mods are worth trying ?

Kelsey and Tashia are good NPC mods to start with.

New to the forum but not to the game. Have played it Vanilla about three times now, starting in BG1 and importing through to BG2:ToB. What exactly are 'mods', what kinds are there, where can I get them, and will they crash my computer. Alot of questions, yes, but an answer to just one would be appreciated.

Mods are modifications made to the game, usually to tweak the rules a bit or add new characters or quests. The good ones will of course not crash your computer, or they'd be fairly useless :)

There are many types: NPC mods seem to be the most prolific- they add a new NPC to the game. Good examples are Kelsey, Tashia, Chloe and Solaufein. There's also some that change the rules a bit to enhance the game experience, like the Ease of Use or the Rogue Re-Balancing mods. And if you're looking for a challenge, there are some that make the game harder, like Tactics or Ascension.
