Modded party!!

Hey all,

For my first BG2 run in like 3 months now, I'm planning on playing with a FULL party, composed of ONLY modded NPCs!! So yeah...Tashia, Kelsey, Chloe..god knows how many more there are. Those three are the only ones I've heard of!

So...this thread is for you guys to recommend which mods I should download and install to play with!

Here's the party I have in mind:

1 full time mage
1 multiclassed mage type (M/C, M/T...anything)
1 tank
1 healer (M/C, Druid, Cleric)
1 PC (custom kits ONLY!!)
1 thief type (Includes Bards)

Okay...for the PC, I really like the Arcane Avenger kit (forgotten which mod this is from...). They get some cool abilities and I plan on dual-classing the PC to Mage after lvl 15.

The rest is up to you guys!! Make my party for me!

 

Get Keto, she is a bard, which is very useful in every party as a support caster, ranged attacker, pickpocketer, don't forget the songs too! What I really like about the mod, is that she has lots of banters and interactions, and her main quest is very spiffy, there really is some high quality bardic voice acting there, I can assure you!

IIRC Tashia is also a sorcerer, so get either Tashia or Kelsey, OR SK one to something else. Two sorcerers are overkill IMHO.

Get Xan, and you can now make him a fighter/mage MC, which is very useful! He still has his moon blade too!

Chloe and Nathaniel are OK kensais, and they are quite gay. Get one of them!

 

You could try Beyond the Law mod. It adds 2 NPCs, Kova, M/T, and Kiyone, an archer. You can't have 1 without the other though.

 

Some options:


1) Kelsey or Tashia - Sorcerers both, you can romance Tashia (assuming that you have a male PC)

2) Solaufein - powerful (especially in ToB) drow F/M,the mod adds 2-3 difficult battles as well

3) Kindrek - powerful but evil male Berserker, or
Saerileth - female Cavalier + romance, or
Chloe - female Kensai (tank ?)

4) Azure - female druid who comes with a guardian wolf, romance(?)
Don't know of other clerics or druids NPCs but Aerie is still there

5) PC - the Arcane Avenger kit (Improved Battles mod) is good though a bit overpowered at high levels.

6) Fade - female elven tiefling thief + romance, or Keto, or Valen overpowered but cool vampire F/T (evil naturally)


As for mods, soon the 4th version of Improved Anvil will be released and I recommend waiting for it.
Otherwise the usual Tactics,Ascension etc. (you know ).

 

Silverstar is quite right, Keto is great! The only problem is that she is SoA only.

If you want to have some fun get Hubbelpot a really nice druid (who sings!)

 

I believe you can find pretty muc every NPC out there described here. It's quite long, but you got their stats, their class, and total grade(which is maybe little subjective, but then, which one isn't?), so I suggest you take some time, and read throught it. It will give you pretty good idea who to take.

I've decided on the following so far!!

Tashia ... she just plain rocks and she's way cooler than Kelsey...he's a bit girly.

Solaufein ... NICE!! And apparently he comes with some really cool quest battles and stuff as well, so that's always good! Wish he wasn't Multiclassed though...he's going to be a strain on my party, not to mention he joins the party pretty late. I'm thinking I will skip him when I finally DO get to him.

Valen ... well, I'm taking her along because I've decided to play an Anti-paladin (Tactics mod) instead. Arcane Avenger is bugged!! It doesn't let you dual-class! Since I'm playing evil, having her along as a support tank and thief type would be alright I guess.

Cernd ... I have forgotten the name of the mod, but its the one which installs the Auramaster kit and changes Cernd's kit to this one isntead of Shapeshifter. Since I've never actually used Cernd in the past (too wishy washy) I figured I might as well make an exception in this case.

Silverstar OR Kido (the jester, IIRC) for the last spot...they're both evil AND they both have some cool appeal. On the other hand, going by the information on the page Mordokai gave the link to (thanks for that btw!) it says they're a bit buggy...

This looks alright, except I don't have enough melee power right up front. I hate Kensais, so Chloe is out...isn't there any other tank like Kindrek?? You know, someone like KORGAN!! I'm guessing not...hmmm...
