Modifying/Editing Kits

I was wondering if someone could help :help: with slightly modifying the swashbuckler and assassin thief kits and the wizard slayer kit. I have checked through the .2da files and I have used the Kit Editor program to locate some information but I could not find the rest that I was interested in.

I wanted to modify the swashbuckler slightly so that it could do a backstab along the same lines as the Stalker Ranger kit. I can't find the backstab multiplier switches for the swashbuckler.

I also wanted to modify the assassin to have 20 thief skill points rather than the 15 points.

I have an idea that the wizardslayer's magic resistance is part of the kits "special abilities" in the form of spells (like the codes for spells that the Infinity Engine uses - Innate Abilities and HLA's) , but I think it is way lame :shame: that at level 40 a wizardslayer can have 80% but the real gains in magic resistance only start at level 20. I wanted to modify it so that it gains 2% every level smoothly.

I have never played BG2 without TOB because I bought them both at the same time, did the wizardslayer in Shadows of Amn only get 1% magic resistance per level, I read somewhere that it was originally 2% (or even 4%) per level?

Anyway I would be very appreciative if anyone had some ideas or answers. Thanks in advance.

In SoA without ToB Wizardslayer also gets 2% MR per EACH level no matter the description which says it is 1%.

You can't modify assassin's thieving points. To my knowledge it is not in tables but in exe.

The file that assures Stalker's backstab modifier is CLABRN03.2DA. The ability that is gained in in fact inside the innate spell ability SPCL332.SPL.
My suggestion is that you study the file KITLIST.2DA - inside this file is almost all data about kits.

Please read the Forum Rules. :nono: http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/rules.htm
It tells you all you need to get a custom Avatar (the little "knight"), and explains the donating/sending files to the site system.
In short, you will need to contribute to the site before you get a custom Avatar, and several times before you get a portrait.
:) Welcome to the Boards by the way! :)

Sorry Gopher, I did actually read the rules before registering (three times!) and I missed the link to page two. I am just a little blind and dumb. I suppose that this will learn me! :shame: on me...
    Thanks for your help.
