Mods complications.

    Ok, here is the situation as it goes.

    I have intention to play over ToB once again. Only ToB this time, because I want to play it over with Longer road instaled. But I also want to install couple of other mods, such as: Ascension, NPC Flirt pack and Oversight.

    I'm asking you, in what order should I install them, so there wouldn't be any problems? The reason I'm asking this is pretty obvious. I already once tried LR, and althought I enyojed it very much, there was a major problem. When I came to the Throone of Bhall, Mellisan gave me her speech, and then she just stood there, doing nothing :confused: And she wouldn't die, or go back to that pillar she usually goes when you defeat her. I gave her beating for half and hour and nothing. I never finished that game. At that time I had installed the following mods: LR, Ascension, NPC flirt pack and Chloe NPC. Chloe left me at the three of life in SoA, and she was never with me in ToB. I suspect that NPC flirt pack was causing troubles, because when I installed LR in SoA, and then tried talking to Jaheira, there were some really... odd options for conversation. Maybe there was problem that Ascension and LR were the last mods to be installed, just little before the end of SoA.

    I really like NPC flirt pack, so you tell me if there is an option to have it installed with other three mods without causing problems. If that is the case, I would like to know the best order of installation for the mods. If NPC flirt pack is the cause of problems, I won't install it. That will make me a sad panda, but better that then not finish a game again.

    I hope I made my point here. If anybody doesn't understand anything, do not hesitate to ask.

    Hmm, I used LR a while back at the same time as Flirt Pack and didn't run into any trouble. I have Ascension, Oversight and Flirt Pack installed as part of my standard mods that I use every time and haven't had any problems with them. Therefore I don't believe that the Flirt Pack caused the trouble by simply being there.

    After patching and Baldurdashing, I would be inclined to install Ascension and then Oversight. I wouldn't think there would be a problem related to the order you would install LR and Flirts after that.

    Are you certain that when you installed LR and Ascension before that you installed LR last? I would forsee a problem with installing it before Ascension.

    Hope that helped you in some form.

    Chloe left you at Tree of Life? Interesting, she did not leave me, saying she had a fondness for me (and no, my PC was male), and she was really trivial at defeating Improved JonBon. I ditched her for Sarevok in ToB, however. :p

    Anyway, as for your problem, I have heard that mods which exclusively deal with dialogue files, namely Flirt and Banter packs, can cause probs with other mods, so you must obey an installation order. I can not remember if you should install it before or after other mods though. I have all those and many many more but never had that problem. Maybe some other peopel here can help you? (I hope)
