I can't decide if I should go for Solas Moonray or Blade the Moonblade is a very powerful longsword esp. the upgraded one and with Kuriosians Acidid Katana Could probably take on most of the Ascension crew at once, but he's the only one that can use it. And also I have the true Grand mastery part of the Ease of Use mod so ***** will get me an extra attack.

Moonray he can cast three times a day to heal about 80-100 hp per party member gives him +2 spells for every level does about as much damage as it heals, with no protection that I know of, and perhaps some other effects I don't know of.

    It's statistics are as follows

Tsuki no Ken: Moon's Blade +5
According to legend, this ancient blade was originally forged in Kara-Tur by a Tengu weaponsmith with a strange sense of humor. Records of its passing were lost to antiquity until it turned up in the care of a high priestess of Eilistraee. Since then it has been used by followers of Lady Silverhair to protect the weak and strike down the wicked. It was personally granted to Solaufein by the Goddess herself. The blade gleams with a dark silvery light and its passing makes a sound like rustling leaves in a dark forest.

In order to help Solaufein triumph over the new, stronger challenges he faces alongside <CHARNAME>, the blade has been re-blessed by Eilistraee with the power of the Full Moon. It glows with a stronger lunar radiance and provides clerical protections to Solaufein.

    STATISTICS:

Equipped Abilities: Free Action, Luck, +2 AC Bonus, +1 attack per round
Additional Equipped Abilities: Armor of Faith, Draw Upon Holy Might, Death Ward, Chaotic Commands
Combat Ability: Each hit has a 25% chance blinding the victim with lunar radiance and inflicting 12 points of fire damage over the course of 3 seconds.
    THACO: +5 bonus
    Damage: 1D8 +5
    Damage type: slashing
    Weight: 3
    Speed Factor: 0
    Proficiency Type: Long Sword
    Type: 1-handed
    Usable By: Solaufein

Improved Haste combined with this weapon, the acid katana and true grandmastery can get me 10 attacks a round and 24 strength, so I could kill pretty much anything in less then three hits from the critical strike ability, but as I mentioned only Sola can take advantage of it.

If you're bringing great party members along, go with the ray. Otherwise, go for the blade.

Any class that can gain Rogue HLA's may also use Sola's sword, as long as they surpass the right ability requirements.

And what are the right ability requirments? I tried giving it to a rouge before and I lose it getting a message saying "it was only for Sola, Elistrae has taken it back"

I'm not sure about that. My character could wield it too, and I didn't get that message.
I'll check it out a bit with my other characters.

Are those custom items you get with the Solaufein mod?

I think I found the answer... my Sola Mod version is a bit older. :D
I've yet to install the new one, but not before I make several changes on this particular sword. There's no reason the most overpowered sword in the game should go to an overpowered Drow who in all his overpowerfulness couldn't beat my Blade. ;)
The Moon Goddess will also have to answer to a PC who could kill the Ravager, Demogorgon and to whom Elminster himself acknowledges to think otherwise.
In any case, Sola is well enough without it.
