OK I have a plan to make a Moonblade for the PC and here we go. My plan is to make Gorion give it to you when you talk to him, like another dialogue thingy when you say you are ready to go, Gorion says something like "Take this sword child, it was your mother's. She asked me to keep it for you and now it seems the time is right for you to have it" and then we leave and he dies. Or something like that. Is it possible?
The only thing is, the individual player must use IEEP on the file in order to adjust its usability to match their character race, class and alignment exactly, there is no other way to make it unique to you. At present, my Moonblade is set for a Neutral Good Elf Fighter/Mage.

I was just about to post them in a new topic when I read your reply, so here's the item description and stats:

This potent weapon was created by the smiths of ancient Myth Drannor. Moonblades are used in the long process of selecting a ruler for the isle of Evermeet. A Moonblade chooses its owner, and in the case of this sword it chose <CHARNAME>'s mother. Since her death it has been in Gorion's keeping for the day <CHARNAME> was ready to attempt to claim it. Only <CHARNAME> can use this blade, anyone else who tries will find themselves unable to lift the sword. This particular Moonblade gives resistance to magic, does additional magic fire damage and gives its user a bonus to his armor class.

    STATISTICS:

    Damage: 1D8 +3
    THACO: +3 bonus
    Damage type: slashing
    Special:
    +1 bonus to Armor Class
    +50% Fire Resistance
    +1 Magic Fire Damage
    Weight: 4
    Speed Factor: 5
    Proficiency Type: Large Sword
    Type: 1-handed
    Not Usable By:
    Everyone but <CHARNAME>
