[IMG] Not sure if you Americans have a Morrisons, but just thought I'd tell you about the weird and wonderful flavours I discovered in their own brand fizzy drinks range :)

Such enlightening flavours as Blackcurrantade, Strawberryade, Tuttifruttiade, Pineappleade, and many more. I can recomment Tuttifruttiade, it sounds gross but is actually quite nice. What supermarkets do you have over there anyway? And what on earth is Kool Aid

First of all, it's not 'flavours'...it's flavors :) . Oh, I don't know...most of our lives here in the great states are ruled by Wal-Mart and McDonalds, where the billions trickle in and out daily. I know we have Coca-cola...you gotta have that in England, right? And we have Jones colas...those are pretty good...and Yoohoo, and Dr. Pepper, and all that. Never heard of Morrisons, though. But that's because I'm a stupid yankee. :p

There are a few large national chains (e.g., Albertsons, Safeway, Whole Foods) that are taking over, but there are still a few small local chains around (e.g., Zupan's and Nature's in the Northwest; McCaffrey's in the Philadelphia area). The local chains tend to be more flexible in what they will carry or special-order. Not a big difference in prices.

Never heard of Morrisons, sorry. :) And the only fizzy drink I buy regularly is caffiene-free Pepsi for Velcro. I can't stand soda!

ps - Kool Aid is a flavored powder that you mix with water to make a sweet drink that tastes like a melted hard candy - vaguely reminiscent of fruit, with no authenticity whatsoever. Came on the scene in the '50's when food was more about convenience than flavor. Very popular with kids.

Whole Foods? I thought that was only out here.

Since we've moved my wife misses that store. She'll only eat organic.

On Morrisons ... we only have Jim Morrison here! Kinda toxic, but good!

    Morrison's is a Yorkshire-based supermarket.

I watched Road Trip las night, and Tom Green says kool aid is a drink that is used to commit suicide. Maybe he made that up.

No, he didn't make that up. Jim Jones had his followers - around 900, I think - drink poisoned Kool-Aid in the jungles of Guyana back in 1978.
