Since there's a thread for the funniest character, I thought we could have one for the most annoying. I got alot of friends that never play as evil, since they can't stand the arrogance and selfish attitudes from the evil characters. Edwin for example isn't the man who would start charity, and Korgan does anything for money. They give me far more laughs and "wow what a genius game"-thoughts that the good ones.

I can't stand Nalia for example, always babbling about helping less fortunate. In Waukeen's Promenade, there's someone who begs for coins. When I said "get lost" she gave him some anyway. That just was too much for me, and I killed her - having done her quest. Goddamn hippy!

So what's yer most hated conversation/npc/encouter etc. ?

 

Hate is such a strong word and I don't think I've resorted to killing an NPC (not that I haven't been tempted).

My list of most unliked (and useless to my campaigns) has Imoen at the top. Beyond her rescue, she is useless to me. She is followed closely by Valygar and Korgan.

 

I've resorted to killing Nalia too, though at the moment I can't remember why. What I do know, though, is that I dumped all her equipment onto other characters and had Edwin desintigrate her (or was that a flesh to stone spell? Hmm...)

I probably just couldn't take her hippie crap any more

Gaelan Bayle with his "coo!" Goes right through me. Several times now I've saved my game, whacked him, then reloaded.

 

The guy who comes for the Drizzt loot, I hate him, I hope somebody makes a mod that lets you slay him. I mean c’mon, all the enemies you face in the whole game and this guy just strolls up and ends your game if you don’t do as he says.

 

Ease-of-use has a component that disables him--Melchor Harpell if memory serves--but I don't think it allows you to kill him. Never used the component myself, so I can't say for sure.

 

Lady Delicia Caan. I think thats her name, but if not its the aunt from Nalia's Keep. God, I hate her!!

 

i don't think i hate anyone in this game, but i do know that neeber should not be on this particular posting, he was ultimate, and made me crack up a hundred times.

 

Neeber was more funny than annoying to me.

I agree that the tone of voice of Nalia's aunt makes me want to kill her rather than rescue her (nice job to the game creators).

The two mercenary groups at the inns in Waukeen and the Bridge are pretty rude - hurling insults at strangers. At least these guys you could kill without reputation loss.

 

Anomen. He's a nice guy, but too self-righteous for my tastes.

Also, Aerie. Nothing against the character, I have just always found Kath Soucie's voice to grate on my nerves after an extended period of listening.

 

That whole damn D'Arnise family sucks big time. And then you have the Roenalls. Just the lamest portion of the game.

Another annoying personality is that duke who got whipped by Firkaag. I face a ****in RED DRAGON to save his daughter's ass and this s o b is ignoring me. DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

 

Im sorry but no-one annoys me more than Aerie. I use the word 'Hate' here willingly. I mean for-the-love-of-God can she whine! "oh oh <CHAR NAME> my wings were taken from me, bla bla bla, i just don't know how i will ever go on...am i pretty, no? Oh well i'll just fish some more compliments in half an hour, tee hee" Would you SHUT THE HELL UP! I mean every half hour she goes on and on about how much life sucks. Well do us all a favour and commit suicde then, jeez. And here's a fun fact for ya Aerie...Whining about your GOD DAMN wings is not going to bring them back! And she always manages (with me anyhow) to start yapping just when i've got all pumped for big battle, im just gona go kill a Shadow Dragon or something then boom, off she goes talking about her freakin wings!...Of course if you terminate the romance she's great! Damn good spell caster!

 

Wow, powerful feelings towards Aerie, though I always thought she looked like a vampire, that was the only thing I thought was weird about her. But anyhow the character that I think is the most annoying would have to be Viconia, because she's too wishy washy to be a drow, if your an evil drow than your evil, period, you don't wine about things you have done wrong like trusting some farmers, and you dont trust them in the first place.

 

Ahhh, poor lil Aerie. I actually quited liked her. I found her whining kind of endearing (probably because she reminds me of this girl I once dated) and her whole personality a lot more interesting than Jaheira's.

 

Gehn - Brilliant, well told, well told! "commit suicide, jeez!", that line gave me a good laugh indeed

Personally, the most annyoing thing about Aerie is her ever head-ache-giving voice. Too bright for my ears.

Cadderly - Concering Viconia, she's totaly drowish in her mind. She escaped the Underdark because she though some of their culture was wrong. Solaufein is also drow, though he believes that the drow has fallen from their true path. There's always gonna be outcasts.

 

Ooooh, cool question! Lemme think, thé single most annoying character in SoA has to be Cernd I think. The way he goes on and on and on and on... Sorry man, I drifted away, you were talking about trees right? Chuck another log on the fire Vic!
And the way he treats his family and expects to be thanked for it as well. To me Cernd represents all that is wrong with zealots.
Of course, when playing evil, I whack not only him.

 

Yes i understand she is drow, but she does not act fully drow, she is wishy washy, if she's gonna be evil then she would never have trusted the farmers, if she was gonna be good she would not have been an evil character after the farmer thing, and once again if she was gonna be evil she would not cry over what happened after the fact.

 

Cernd - Absolutely cannot stand him.

 

Haer'Dalis? The bard... OmG I've never met such a useless character, with such dumb banter GAH!!, I think I want to kill him more than Saeman... because well... Saeman at least only shows up a few times... Haer when he's in your party... he's there all the time, *stares at Haer'forgothisname, throws an axe, splits his skull!!*
