    [IMG] Here's something for all us anal retentive micro managers. ;) :book:

    How much XP can you get on the protagonist in Irenicus' Dungeon.

    A couple of rules:
    - No unlearning of spells just so you can re-learn it.
    - Check XP after exiting Irenicus' Dungeon - i.e. including the Quest award of 34,500.

    To start it off I ran a F/M/T today and he accumulated 242,524 xp (331,524 (finish) - 89,000 (start) = 242,524)

    I'm assuming you have to go solo so that all the experience is concentrated on the protagonist.

    Please clarify: You know how experience is divided among each class for a multi-class character? Is that number you posted for one of your f/m/t classes or three times it (net exp gain for all 3 classes)?

    Are you saying that there can be no rewriting XP because it was added in in ToB, or forgot about it and went through without doing it????

    Anyway, i have started a new protaganist(Archer) and am intending on playing through once i have finshed IWD2, but i find it easier to take imowoman with you when you do it. After all, you said most XP, not highest level.

    [IMG] It's great fun to see some interest in Irenicus' Dungeon! :cool: :D

    @Blog
    After exiting Irenicus' Dungeon my protagonist had 110,508 xp in each of his three classes. This adds up to 331,524 xp.
    After subtracting the starting 89,000 it means he got 242,524 xp (110,508*3) - 89,000 = 242,524).

    Yes, he went solo.

    @Baezlebub
    No relearning (or "rewriting" as you say) of spells because it's cheezy. The ToB rule change was intended to help players redo bad choices, not help them get more xp. So none of that, please. :)

    Btw, free abuse of relearning spells will add in the neighborhood of 30,000 xp.

    What about lightning mephit machine? Or resting many, many times (to get attacked and get more experience)?

    [IMG] Kill as many mephits as you want before destroying the machine. I believe it only produces seven mephits. The mephits on level 2 I haven't checked out, but they probably have a limt as well. The Radiant Mephits (the ones with Color Spray) are so nasty that it feels unsafe messing around in there with a solo charater. If you dare, then go ahead and kill as many as come out of those machines! :)

    I don't know if sleeping creates more monsters in Irenicus' Dungeon. Where would that be and which monsters?
    If it's goblins, they're just worth 20 xp/each and sleeping repeatedly just to get another 6-pack of goblins is hardly worth it. It is a little bit cheesy though, isn't it?

    Then maybe you should set a time limit, so you can't rest so many times.

    [IMG] This is not rocket science and there has already been more rules than action. Just go in there and kill everything. Avoid cheese and write about what you did. :)

    Ok, I finished Irenicus' Dungeon too. My elven mage/thief got 243,896 (332,896 - 89,000 = 243,896) xp points. She just backstabbed almost everyone she met. :evil: And about resting... no monsters appeared, although I rested about 20 times.

    One way to get more experience, is to start with single class thief and get him to level 11. Then he gets more xp from picking locks and disarming traps. But thieves can't learn spells...

    [IMG] Nope. I got the Jailkeep Golem in the "starting equipment" room (5,000 xp) and the two Lesser Clay Golems (2x2,000 xp)that come runnning when you set off the alarm, but never the Sewage Golem.

    So...what's the lowest XP anyone can get on this dungeon, without cheating or skipping the dungeon entirely? I imagine it's easy to calculate, just curious (and how easy is it to actually do the theoretical minimum?)

    [IMG] The lowest XP amount (if you are soloing) you can get in Irenicus Dungeon is 146,500 (start 89,000 + activating golem 3,000 + mephit portals 20,000 + quest xp after dungeon 34,500) I tried that with half-orc barbarian , but from some reason he got +10% XP bonus from mephit portals and killing goblins. So, when I finished Irenicus' Dungeon I had 148,844 (it took almost ten minutes!)
