As I stated in the RB, I am moving out. And I just know that there is going to be something that I will forget. So I figured that there are enough people in here that we can brainstorm everything that is needed in a new house.

    I have the basics:

    1. Dishes (ie, plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, ect.)

    2. Cleaning supplies

    3. Bathroom products

    Pray, continue...

Are you moving to a furnished Place?

Even so, you should have your own sheets & towels.

By the way, congratulations and welcome back.

Do tell, are you asking what you should purchase for your new pad, or what you should remember to bring with you? Assuming its the former, is it a house or apartment?

If a house, you'll need basic tools and landscaping equipment(ie a mower), if an appartment, well, you still need tools, Wd40 for annoying hinges in particular... lets see, you'll want air fresheners to get rid of the old stink while your own stink is fighting for dominance. A microwave is pretty important, as is a beer frige (so many uses). An extra copy of the door key is also a lifesaver. I keep one taped inside my wallet since i dont trust my neigbors to help me out when i stupidly lock myself out (bloody easy to lock doorknobs...) Hmm, well, thats all i can think of right now.

Cancel any utilities in your old place, (Gas, Electricity, Telephone, Council tax etc - any bills with your name on)
Arrange for mail to be forwarded.
Notify change of address to election roll, driving license people etc.
Pack a box of essentials that you'll need immediately - you don't want to have to unpack everthing when you get to the new place. (Kettle and tea-bags is a general must in Britain!)
Tools - Electric Drill + Screwdrivers are probably the most important.
Curtains pole & curtains were one of the first things we put up when we've moved, followed by coat hooks and a loft ladder. (Extra storage is a boon)

What about your PC and infinity engine rpgs?!? surely these are much more important than anything else!
Oh, and books fore when the aforementioned crashed - or worse.

Make sure you bring your parents. That way, you won't have to do any work around the house.

    :p
