    This is dedicated to Vicsun.

    My 200th post question

A question that noone can answer ;) aye Vic :p

Why are all the muggers and robbers parties in Athkatla allowed to cast spells withouth cowled wizzard interferred?

The easy one would be that every lowlife group would spend around 5 years income to get a license. Instead of spending a 100 gold on a ship passage to Baldurs Gate where they are free to cast spells. Don't tell me that a robbers gang would spend 5K to be able to have a mage casting mirrorImage, stoneskin and those petty spells in any encounter.
Give it YOUR best and most creative shot guys and gals :D

    Well, here goes.

My best guess would be that the guy who is selling the permits rips us off, is corrupt and gets small, but frequent bribes, that the muggers and robbers have developed a method of casting that doesn't alert the Cowled Wizards, or that maybe they have access to contingencies (i'm not sure whether these trigger cowled wizards or not).

Well The Cowled Wizards have nothing to fear from a couple of muggers so they're not interested and aren't pissed of when they use some magic. I think the Wizards do thing the Mugglers aren't worth to pay attention to.

Can someone direct me to a mugger that uses magic? I just can't think of any.

And just a guess - if you're inside a house the cowled ones can't see you so the guys could have been inside?

edit> never mind. It's the random encounter dudes isn't it? Maybe it's just their father that was a cowled wiz and the guy get his premission from him...

[IMG] No, they are also not allowed to use magic. Dunno where you got that idea...
However, since you take care of them everytime, there is no reason for Cowled Wizards to show up. But if they nailed you...

    Gotcha!

The Fun loving cowled Wizards only come when some hotshots play with their muscles.. hmmmmmm Yes I buy that. Its is waaaaay to timeconsuming when they have to go to every city encounter where spells are used. They save their memorized spells for the real bullies.
Consider me convinced that this is not a game-bug. but I'll be back with something else. In my post 300. Aye Vicsun :D
    Hehe hehe :p

    EDITED HERE:

the cowled wizards do show up in the middle of a random encounter. when spells are cast by the party. So they don't wait till either side wins. Oh well. Details. Details.
