Is it a good idea to play a multiplayer game? I want to start the game once again but I want to have two or three PCs (or create the whole party-6 PCs-, I don't know yet).

It can be good fun. I wouldn't recommend creating all your own characters just 2 or 3 at most. This way you still get to interact with the best NPCs. Especially the ones that will carry over into BG2.

You can copy your mp game into the save folder and play as a single-player game. Or just continue as a multi-player game - at least you can pause on the inventory screen then.

There's not a lot of banter or quests with BG1 NPCs, so you won't be missing too much by creating the characters yourself--at least until Rastor & Co. finish the BG1 NPC banter project. :D

Create your own party and leave the NPC´s out of your quest. I´ve done it several times and it is alot of fun. Since you get what you want and no halfwits for mages or rouges with 15 dex or anything :)

I'd go single, the NPCs add to the atmosphere. But then, as you've gone through it all before...
