One of my player want to multiclass to a Cleric of Kord (god of strengh Greyhawk) but he's in the middle of Sigil. Normaly I would allow any multiclass only if he find a mentor or institute who can teach him his new class. But the Plot of this campaing is that the player cannot gain ac ces to the prime material and must find a way to return home, finding who send them to sigil plus Why ¨he¨ send them there. The only problem is where to find a temple of Kord in Sigil? I doubt that there is one, then should I allow him to multiclass then even if there is no Cleric to teach him?

How can he justify learning about a god his character has probably only heard of in passing? Divine inspiration perhaps? Other than that I can't think of anything. Depends on how you want the campaign to be I guess.

Well, I am not overly familiar with all this, but if you want the character to be able to multiclass, why don't you add in an NPC, who has also ended up in sigil in some manner (like stumbling through a gate unkowingly somewhwere, or so he says, there could be something more sinister in the plot which the characters will find out later, or not). That way he could be a mentor and a plot device.

    Handy no?

He's in freaking sigil. Sooner or later, he's going to run into an Aasimar, Half-Celestial, or Celestial who's on Kord's side. It's justified fine enough, so long as the person talks to a few higher-up berks about it. Or perhaps a Divine Disciple or a Planar Champion of Kord.

Be forewarned, though: Fighter/Cleric (especially with Strength domains) is very powerful (a bit less if you're playing 3.5E), nearing buh-rokeness. Don't let him get his hands on a Bead of Karma.

It's only really bad if he gets the Extend and Persistent Spell feats.

Persistant Bull's STR, Persistant Divine Favor (on a higher level). ouch!

Ehm...he is in Sigil and has to find a way home? Which is on the Prime Material Plane? Explain to me if this is the case, why he SHOULDN'T know about this God? If he is orriginaly from the prime material plane, I see no problem at al, about if he could know Kord or not.

It doesn't matter if he knew the god or not. For him to be a cleric he would have to be able to perform the proper incarntation thingys to recieve the spells and what not. To learn this he would have to know someone who already knows how to do this. But I agree, more or less, with what Oaz said. Make him run into some Planar Being who can teach him. You could even make a small side quest out of it.
