[IMG] How is Thac0/saves/etc. calculated for a multiclass? Let´s say a fighter/thief. Are his stats calculated as an average between his two classes or what?

You get the best of both worlds. Basically, it picks the better THAC0 or save from your two (or three) classes and uses that one, for each thing and each level. C/T THAC0 makes a good example.

    Cleric: 20, 20, 20, 18, 18, 18, 16
    Thief: 20, 20, 19, 19, 18, 18, 17
    C/T: 20, 20, 19, 18, 18, 18, 16

Ahh, I see. Sort of off-topic: How is it done in Icewind Dale II then? I mean, if you decide to create one of those 5-6-7 different class abominations? Same deal?

IIRC, in IWDII, each class increases the save bonus by a certain amount at each specific level. As that made little sense, even to me, I'll use an example:

If you take 4 levels as a Fighter, then you will have a high Fortitude save, but a low Reflex and Will. If you then took a few Wizard levels, your Will save would increase quite a bit, but your other saves would not get much of an increase. You would end up with a good Fortitude save, an ok Will save and a relatively weak Reflex save.

Each class has saves that it is strong in, and so these ones increase more than the other(s). Totally different system to be honest. Monks are the only class strong in all three saves and so tend to have very high ones over time. Paladins get to add their Charisma bonus to their saves, which gives them a fair boost.
