Multiclassed characters

    Is it just me or is there little reason to multiclass, except for maybe taking a level of ranger for free dual weild, or 4 fighter levels to specialize. For example say I want a dual class mage/cleric. With 2nd ed rules in IWD I could take an elf mage/cleric to level 20/24 with access to all the spells. But with 3rd ed rules in IWD2 my mage/cleric would max out at 15/15 (or any other level combo that added to 30).

    That's pretty much what im going to do with the multi-classing, give my rogue one level ranger for the extra feats and things like that. Other people probably have other uses though
