Here are a list of artists and bands I can't stand:

The Rasmus - They are at the top of the list because there music is the worst **** I have ever heard in my life.
    D12 - Unbearable
    Natasha Bedingfield
Green Day - I can't stand that "American Idiot" ****.
    Nelly
    Robbie Williams
    Scissor Sisters
    Muse
    Slipknot
    Snow Patrol
    Franz Ferdinand
    Jet
    The Music
    Lostprophets

Lots more but these guys are what I find the most unbearable right now.

    You?

Basically as I said in the "Semi Poll" thread.

Gangsta Rap-I enjoy Kanye West, and Outkast, even Tupac. But Snoop Dog, 50 Cent and the like I can't stand. Generic, degrading and just not very fun to listen to.

Heavy Metal-I just can't stand it. I know alot of people on here enjoy, but it doesn't appeal to me. I hate how they feel that the only way a guitar can sound good is shredding, or how the singers always have to growl. Find some melody, and harmony.

Most rap & hiphop... melodies are dull, lyrics duller, vocals bland, attitude unbearable, and when I start to listen to the lyrics, it *really* makes me want to vomit.
As of late, growing distaste with 'teen mainstream' like Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, because of their boring yadda music that has no musical appeal but sells purely on image.
Also, although I enjoy metal/progrock/gothic esque music, they are sometimes overdone... a few grunts or some pounding on the guitar can really add a lot of edge, and music needn't be all happy huggling bla, but if the entire music is grunting about death and pain, it becomes tiresome...
I'm kinda picky. Furthermore, I have the feeling I won't be able to stand countryish music, but as I hardly have experience with the genre, I can't be *quite* sure.

Hip-hop, dance, disco, techno, metal, rap, country.

    Exceptions apply.

Depending on the girl, I can force myself to dance techno, metal, rap or country, but hip-hop, disco and dance are non-option.

    Rap, hiphop, and all variants.
Blue, Justin Timberlake (so annoying!!), and that style of music (whatever it's called)
Metal, Death & derivatives (though easier to stand than what's above)
Vivaldi, a good deal of Mozart's stuff
Lots of other things that were "in" at one time or another. Can't remember anything specific right now.

Any electronic techno crap. Nu metal. Almost all American music except maybe Aenima-era Tool and some Dream Theater.

Ditto Tassadar - any techno/electronic Yamaha Home Organ 'music' that a 2 year old could play with one finger.

Okay, basically anything techno/dance (besides some Fatboy Slim and a track or 2 of Moby's) I filter out, same with bubblegum pop, country, and Gansta Rap as mentioned by Benan. I mean, I don't mind too much if it's playing in my vicinity because I just filter it all out. But I will immediately feel homicidal urges towards the perpetrator if I hear Aphex Twin or anything heavy like Slipknot et al. Not much of a fan of country either, though I used to like The Highwaymen and I don't mind a bit of Johnny Cash.
I can't actually think of any specific examples of other types of music I can't stand just now though.

Coldplay, Travis, radiohead, any of that indie ****. Cant stand it...dont want it. Would rather it all got flushed down the toilet. And the worst of them all, Oasis, and other "britpop". Makes me want to vomit anytime I hear it.

Would rather listen to that twat 50 cent.

Rap, pop, pop punk, ska, hip hop, country, nu metal, a good deal of rock - y'know, most things.

And I'll give an honourable mention to black metal here - my first impressions (and I haven't gotten much past them) were along the lines of 'Wow! That guy must have spent hours trying to perfect the most annoying sound imaginable.'

However, exposure to After Forever's screams may loosen that attitude yet, though I'm not going out of my way to try that style again...

I despise techno. With a few exceptions. I loathe country, no exceptions. And I hate most jazz too. Hmm I think that's basically it :)

    @Takara

Sacrilege!! The gods of Alternative will see you get yours ;) hehe

    @Chevalier

What's the difference between Techno and Dance?

Pop, techno and coutry get on my nerves the most...
    BTW, hip hop isn't a music type - it's a culture.

Rap, Hip Hop, and generally electronic music(with some 80's hits exceptions ;) ).
I'll also add pop-music in general, since it's all about making money, not music...

Yeah, but so are most other music styles - punk, goth, pop, country even - could all be considered cultures (or sub-cultures, whatever).
So yeah, it is a music style :p Doesn't stop it from being a culture, however

I can't stand music that is boring, dishonest and/or is made as if people were stupid.
This includes most chart music, especially pimp-rap, mainstream-pop and power metal.

Aikanaro, rap is a music style that is a part of the hip hop culture - therefore hip hop isn't a music style, because it has other elements that aren't related to music in any way. :p
