Does anyone have any preference for background music for Planescape: Torment? (CDs by bands and such) Granted, the music in P:T is already above par, but I was just curious. I listened to alot of techno and industrial whilst playing P:T and it seemed to fit the dark mood of the game nicely (VNV Nation, Prodigy, Skinny Puppy).

On a totally off-topic side note, where is this alleged Eye of Vecna?

 

The in-game music works just fine for me. It has exactly the mood fitting the game
Besides, I don't have a cd-player near my computer so I am unable to listen to other music while playing as the game cd has to be inside the cd-rom drive...

I used to listen to Dream Theater, "Scenes from a Memory" while playing the game.

 

The only game I can listen to music to while playing is Heroes of Might and Magic. With all other games I like to be able to properly hear audio dialogue and sound effects

Am I alone here?

 

Morsmodre, I'm the same way. Except for Civilization 2, I always listen to the in-game music. If I hate the sounds in a game, I won't play the game. I find sound more important than visuals in a computer game -- probably in real life too, though I've never given it much thought.

 

If you play Torment more than once or twice, I recommend playing it with the music turned off at least once. You miss out on some subtle sounds with it on. But you should definitely have the music on your first game.
