I've always wanted to bring some of my own custom NPC's in the game but whenever I do I'm alway's dealing with the annoyance of have to press the pause button (space) all the time.

sometime's pausing and unpauseing only take 2 or 3 tries other time it could be over 5 or 6.

Is this a problem with the game or does Multiplayer pauseing go by some turnbased system or whatever?

I think thats normal in multiplayer games.

Thats why i create the party and start and then save . Then you go to your "mpsave" (i think.. it may be just msave) folder and search for another folder that has the same name as your saved game.
Then you just grab it and transfer it to "save" folder and you're done!
Same characters, faster loading (no choosing mp game,...) and most importantly instant pause.

Thanks Gothmog. I had the same problem.
Casey, don't make too much. Just your main character and maybe a decent thief or something you can't find as NPC. You lose a lot when you don't take NPC's. All those conversations and NPC specific quests. I have three self created characters and three NPC's. That's no good. Maybe 2 Pc's.

    Thank you mayfairy.

My PC is a Swashbuckler and I'm taking an Inquisitor and an archer.

as for NPC's the only definate one is Solaufein and either Aerie or Anomen.

on second thought maybe I should have made some sort of cleric instead of the Inquisitor.

Anomen is cleric, so you should take him. You need some melee stopping power, so Inquisitor should be fine. I don't know which class Solaufein is, but counting him out you don't have a mage in your party. Aerie could then be better choise than Anomen. I think I would have changed this Inquisitor into a Wizard slayer. Anyway, that doesn't sound too bad a party. Like I mentioned, I'm playing multiplayer also, and my party is like this: Main character: Half-elven Wild Mage, self created Elven Swashbuckler, self created Human Cleric, Minsc, Valygar and Mazzy. Quite a lot melee power there, since my swashbuckler can handle most situations alone with dual-wielded longswords. And don't forget about Swashbuckler's Set Snare ability. It has saved me many times. Good luck in your effort!

    Sola is a drow f/m.
    I'll probably take Kelsey
I'll probably also take Hare Dalis (the closest thing in the game to a default f/m
