My 100th anniversary post: A question

This is my 100 post, and I thought that it deserves a really tough question which noone could answer .
Here it goes: Why does Qualie(Aerie's uncle i think) have a portrait? All NPCs have portraits, and so do Bodhi, Irenacus, and Ellisame, but they play major parts. So why does that gnome have a portait? I know he was an NPC in BG1, but so was Xzar, and others, which have no portraits. So my tough question remains: why does he have a portrait?

Sounds like you have something against gnomes? I think Aerie said that Quayle was like an uncle to her with her ordeal in the circus, and not her actual uncle, she's and elf he's a gnome. Why he gets a portrait, who knows, it's a cool portrait though.

since when you meet him it is the beginning of the game, the creators propably wanted to give all former NPC's there own portraits again, but they propably thought it was just too much work. That's why they didn't give portraits to the other former NPC's in the game (just guessing )

Maybe because the creaters of the game liked his portrait so much! Cheers!

 

That he was one of the NPCs in BG1 is probably reason enough.

On a side note. One of the funniest lines came from him.. (talking about Dynaheir) "Who taught the monkey to speak+"

Perhaps+because= Pecause!

Pecause there where different programmers who didn't get this issue talked through before deadline.

Pecause he looks so cozy and nice, giving the true atmosphere of a nice Uncle to Aerie.

Pecause they originally wanted him to be able to join the party, but then ,as we all know, they regretted it, forgetting to erase his picture-icon in the process.

As You see theese three answers are all plausible. You deside which fits the best.

And by the way (BTW) congratulations my friend. If You keep this rocketeering of levels You'll be a level -2200 Illithid Chopper (Level 33) in no time. Oh well perhaps a week or two
