Is it just me, or is there no mention of their son's feeling or reaction? That's the bit I'd like to know about, how he's dealing.

I, too, would like to know the son's reaction. He must be realy mentaly disordered after finding out his dad was a mom.

 

Personally, I'd probably end up having to have some padded-room time. Even if just to save my parent's from my rage.

 

If they had only told him earlier, but waiting until he is 12 is ugly. If the kid had grown up knowing his parents were different I wouldnt have seen any problem but getting to know your dad is a woman at the age of 12 must be a shocker.

 

I must say, the non-homosexual marriage idealists must be having a field day here.

Sick ****ers. Sick for not telling their kids the thruth, not for being homosexual.

 

That's it though, if they'd told him early enough in his life, when he was still a 'kid' rather than almost a teenager, he'd have had the skills on board to have dealt a bit better if it became an issue from others. Now though, he's just gonna be scarred I would imagine.

 

Well, it's more like transexuality and a wierd perversion of homosexuality (like it isnt perverted enough already )

 

It's a tabloid article and shouldn't be taken seriously...but if it is true, then that kid is going to be scared for life.

I not only feel sorry for the poor kid, not only that his dad is his mom, but he is a test tube baby believing all along that he had a "biological dad". But why and the hell would you play this game. There are thousands of gay couples who have adopted or (lack of a better term), created a life scientifically. I mean male hormones, to look like a guy and act like a guy but you are really a woman and like women. Your right Kitrax, I am glad all the wackos are not in the U.S.

Either way, it was way wrong to let the kid believe in the fiction. Five to ten says the kid grows up messed.

@Tiberius: what's so bad about being a test-tube baby? Artificial insemination with donor sperm is a common technique used by infertile couples - traditional or otherwise - or single women seeking to become mothers. To imply there's something freaky about it is like saying there's something freaky about being adopted.

 

I think he meant that it was wrong not to tell him the truth about that as well as about the "true" gender of his father figure.

 

@Rallymamma, I didn't mean to imply that the premise behind being a test tube baby is "freaky". I clearly mentioned that this child believed he had a biological father in front of him. Not only could the sperm not come from the shemale for the insemination but it has no sperm at all. I am adopted so I have no problems with the idea behind having a child through different means than the conventional, I was stating it is hard enough for some kids to come to terms with having another mother and father out there but to deal with what this poor kid has to deal with is beyond what any adopted child or child who was a product of artificial insemination with a mother(woman), and father(male). would ever have to deal with.
