Speak for yourself, Sarevok. I've never had a car that was sweeter to drive than my 528i wagon.

Again, speak for yourself. I'm getting a BMW as soon as I can afford one. They run great, drive great, look great, safe, classy...whole package.

    @Death Rabbit:

Yes, but it depends where you live... and how you equip it... ;)

In my country BMW are not so "classy"...

But if I had money for it, i would probably buy it...

Hell, in the USA they might be cool but over here in the UK they are not cool. Anyway, if you must have a bmw then have an M3 or better still a merc.

Just make sure to take the full extended warrenty. My BMW driving clients consistently seem to have more frequent and more expensive maintenance and repair bills compared to my clients who drive other brands of high end cars.

Really? Huh. I've heard exactly the opposite from people I've known who drive them. But that's good to know, though not all cars run the same in different climates (it's safe to say Texas is significantly hotter and muggier than Canada). I'll do more thorough research before buying one, naturally. But this is like 5-10 years down the road we're talkin about here. Unless the lottery happens to tackle me or something.

[IMG] I got a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX turbo, all-wheel drive and i eat Beemer's for breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. Buy a Lancer Evolution. Japan puts out better engines than Europe or America ever will!!

My last car was a BMW 530 - I had it for three years and had absolutely no problems with it at all. Drove great, looked great, comfortable, the whole nine yards. Can't say much for the "babe magnet" effect, though, as I am married and don't pay much attention to such things (yeah right).

I have a Mercedes now because I didn't like the lines of the new 5 series. The Mercedes is a little more comfortable and looks, IMO, a little better, but it doesn't drive nearly as well. I'll probably go back to BMW when this lease expires.

You guys can keep your Beamers. I have 7, and my sex life didn't really take off until I wore an SP shirt.

It's not about all speed, Naug, and when you figure that out you'll be ready for a BMW.

    Kids.

Do normal people actually have sex more than once a month? Over twice a week sounds, well, diseased.

I wonder if I'm the only one who saw through this brilliant marketing ploy by that German car magazine? All the online newspapers posted this story, and it's being discussed everywhere. In all likelyhood the whole "survey" was made up, but no one cares. It's sex AND good cars in the same discussion - doesn't get any better than this! :shake:

    Rally,

Your statement proves that we do turn into our parents. I was trying to explain why "how fast can it go?" is not the most important feature of a car to my six year old. He looked at me like I was from mars, and all I could think then was how that was probably the same look I gave my parents when they told me the same thing.

You can tell 'em, but they won't believe it until they get a little older. ;)

    Mystra,

Only through the first year of marriage my friend. After that, only if they are having an affair.

    ROTFLMAO!

Seriously, it varies from couple to couple, and once people have a kid or two, they have to be willing to work at it to keep up a better pace!
