Hello to Everyone... This is my first post here. I have played the game through many times since its release, and probably have just about every mod imaginable installed on my game. However, just recently, I decided that after playing a number of both male and female player characters, of all different classes (and being most successful with CG thieves), I decided to play a female paladin.

Observations I have made are the following, and this seems to happen no matter what the circumstances are. I am beginning to wonder if one or the other of the mods I have installed has anything to do with the "fallen paladin" status. Here it goes...
Now upon completion of certain quests, I have my reputation go up, my virtue go up, collect the rewards, and when it's finished listing what items I may have gained, experience points earned, etc. a nice little line which says "Lost Class:paladin" appears. This is almost always true on the following quests, regardless if I have completed the Paladin Stronghold or not. This is true when doing the Fallen Paladin quest for the Order of the Radiant Heart, The Mantle Quest in Trademeet...if you bring the Mantle back to Lord Logan rather than to one of the dueling families and kill them all, then you retain your Paladin status. Bringing the head of Neb to the Government building causes you to lose your Paladin status, as well as the Shade Lord quest in the Ummar Hills, IF you have already completed the Paladin Stronghold when you take on this quest. I have also tried to see if timing had anything to do with losing ones status as a Paladin, and nearly ran my party ragged to the point where they were all begging to rest, seeing if that had anything to do with the loss of status. I have never made it through the game more than about 18 days of game time without permanently losing my paladin status. My party consists of the following NPC's some of which are rotated in and out to be able to complete their quests: Anomen is ALWAYS a permanent part of my party, besides Jaheria and Minsc, because you can literally turn him into a killing machine without any repercussions, as well as one time without using SK, I was able to outfit him with Crom Faeyr, the ring of human influence, gauntlets of dexterity and a good armor where he had a AC of -17 by the time we met up with Illasera at the beginning of TOB, as well as some really amazing stats.I opted for him to be knighted. I keep Aerie until she annoys someone in the party badly enough that even my "good" characters want to kill her, Keldorn until he has the issue with his wife and needs to return home to her, Nalia is usually in my game until I go pick up Imoen, because you need someone who can thief, but I don't like playing with Yoshimo, Mazzy, Valygar long enough to do his quest.

I know that if you begin the Paladin stronghold , and haven't yet done the quest with the teenage girl and the assassins for the Order, you will regain your status if you have fallen, but one can only complete or try to complete so many quests at one time. I haven't even thought of attempting to do any of the Shadow Thieves quests yet, for fear that I will once again lose my status as a Paladin, and what happens in Spellhold when you turn into the Slayer for a few moments, as well as when you face Irenicus in Hell, and the Door, where your alignment changes?

I know questions, questions. I did see and read the post on how you can change your status via the CLUA console. Any insight on this would be great.

Sounds like a Virtue bug, but I could be wrong. A modlist would help those who know more than I. :)
