    [​IMG] I can't believe it! I got a distinction for an assignment in my Masters Degree! It's my first assignment and I can't remember getting Distinctions for a loooooong time. What have I done? I am really pleased. :p

    Well, how about you? Have you been able to brag about your assignments or projects?

    Well, I've done nothing of note for a while. Just got back to school. I may be able to tell later when I get my English results back.

    However, a mate got an A on his Ancient History assignment based on Greek City States. It was the highest mark in the class. The closest was a B-.

    [​IMG] I got an award in grade 3 for Most Improved Handwriting! Not really for any specific assignments or projects, but pretty damn impressive nonetheless! :xx: :roll: :spin: :rolling: :rolleyes:

    Back in 1988 or so, I wrote a paper analyzing the different options for long-term onsite storage of spent nuclear fuel at two power plants operated by my company. Two vice-presidents were quite impressed by my work, and as far as I know that paper formed the basis for the strategy that's in place today.

    Unfortunately the opportunities for such bragging rights tend to dwindle once one joins the workplace. Sure, I get lots of compliments from satisfied clients but besides getting paid :money: there is not really any opportunity for formal recognition.

    While taking my masters degree I received two A+s and an A on the three major research papers that I had to write but we did not have any formal recognition for excellent work beyond getting good marks.

    Oh well, at least I still have professional exam marks, academic contests, academic awards and scholarships to brag about. ;)
