In the sewers under the Copper Coronet, there is a most mysterious encounter. There's a room full of Myconids with some minotaur guy calling out for help. The myconids usually kill him but with judicious reloading, you can kill the myconids before he dies. If you talk to him, he has nothing to say. Question: does anybody know what this is all about? Presumably, it has something to do with a quest removed from the game, but it's always mystified me.

In fact, these sewers are an all-round mysterious place. Who was Vallah and who hid Lilarcor down there? Perhaps these mysteries will remain forever unanswered.

David Gaider mentioned that the myconids and the minotaur are there "for flavor" and that not everything needs to be explained. However, the minotaur's creature file refers to a dialogue file that was cut before the game shipped, so there was something more originally.

There is a lot of speculation about Lilarcor. The theory I prefer is that he is under a geas from Vallah not to reveal himself. To get around it, Lilarcor scratched the hints in the walls and dominated Quallo.
