[IMG] Well, if you've been keeping up with the topic of new forums, you know there'll be two of them: http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/Forum7/HTML/001639.html

One for books and one for games. Books will be for all of the books imaginable (sans the D&D manuals, that should still be in the 2nd/3rd edition D&D forum), and Games for all of the games we don't have separate forums for here. Console games included, though people will be required to note that in the topic title like "Can't kill the mushrooms (Gameboy)" or whatever.

The question is, how should these two new forums be named?

My suggestions are "Booktalk" for the books one and "The Playground" for the gaming one. Agree/disagree or provide better names here. ;)

[IMG] That'd be fine for chatroom names, but not for forums. The names have to be understandable enough that everyone should know what the forum is about without having to read its description.

[IMG] The name's are appropiate  However, some alternatives that came to my weary mind:
    -Bookworm's paradise
    -Gamer's multiverse
-[new ideas will be edited in here :1eye:]

I think that your names for these new forums are fine. For the game forum, I have one suggestion; an list of abbreviations for the different gaming platforms and some of the most popular games. The titles of these threads will get quite long if abbreviations are not used and given that everyone would have a tendancy to abbreviate in a different way, some standard ones might be useful for those that are not familiar with them. For example Game Boy Color would be GBC and Game Boy Advanced would be GBA while Playstation II would be PS2. This would also be useful for those casual readers that simply enjoy reading the boards but don't necessarily play the games to understand what people are talking about.

    The names are not important.

What we call a Rose would have equally smelled no matter the name we give it.

At least, you told me so, Tal. Or it counts only in chatrooms?
