    Hi all.

I'm new to the SP forums and I wish to make myself known to everyone on the board. I'm a big fan of the Black Isle games and finished BG1 and the IWD series.

Anyway,I recently started playing BG2 after finshing BG1 again. I try as much as possible to do all the quests in the game but I'm having trouble with the Mazzy and Gorf quest. I can't seem to trigger the quest to happen. I went to the location were I'm suppose to meet them but they're not there. I read Dan Simpson's guide but it doesn't mention how or when the quest happens.

I thought at first that the quest didn't happen coz I freed the slaves already but when I tried loading an older save the quest still wouldn't happen. Is there something I should do first to cause the quest to happen? If anyone knows, please tell me. Thanks.

The quest should start when you take Mazzy just outside the Copper Coronet.

Freeing the slaves makes no difference; that's almost always the first thing I do in chapter 2 and the Mazzy quest worked just fine.

There might be a time requirement, like Mazzy must be in your party for X amount of hours... I'm not sure about that, but I highly doubt it.

Thats a known bug. Did you install the Baldurdash fixes? That woul take care of a lot of bugs in the game. The link for it is somewhere in the SP -> Games -> BG II section of the game.

[IMG] Gorf only appears if you have Mazzy and are in the slums during the day. If you go there at night, he won't appear.

[IMG] do you mean finding Gorf for the actualy duel? Yeah I have issues with that sometimes. The person who is supposed to spawn doesn't always
