need help @ temple ruins

    [​IMG] I found the 2nd half of that guy's journal, and have 2 of the 3 stones that open the door to the lair.

    I searched all over the wilderness outside the temple, and didn't find his stash, so I'm assuming I need both halves of the journal to make it visible. Where the heck is the top half? I feel like I've looked everywhere, but obviously not...need some help here folks.

    It's been awhile since I have been through that area, but as a suggestion, Sylvus probably already has a walkthrough that would be your best help. If not try the baldur's gate dungeon site.

    that half journal is part of a ranger subquest (so i've heard) it has nothing to do with opening the door. check the 2 rooms past the indiana jones room for the 3rd part of the seal.

    I was a Ranger/Cleric and the subquest came much later in the game. You won't be able to find the stash when doing the first quest in Umar Hills. It will magically appear only when the subquest is activated. Don't lose sleep over it - there are no usable items in the stash.

    why would you be a ranger/cleric? a fighter cleric is fine, but a ranger cleric? they just arent as good at fighting and have the same clerical abilities.

    im not implying anything, just curious as to your reasons for class choice.

    My understanding is that a Ranger/Cleric gets both Cleric and Druid spells while a Fighter/Cleric only gets the Cleric spells...

    [​IMG] Just my opinion, but when you're already a Ranger, why dual to a cleric?? Or why multi-class as a cleric?

    The ranger is already complete! Ranger/clerics suck in my opinion and are even worse than Ned Flanders wannabes!

    I wanted an all rounder - front-line fighter and healer who can also cast the full range of cleric AND druid spells. I ended the game with my Ranger(7) dual Cleric(20) wielding both the Flail of Ages and Crom Faeyr bludgeoning you-know-who to kingdom come. To each his own, I guess.

    Ranger/Clerics may not leave their bath waters cleaner but they leave it blessed....
